The WWE Draft kicked off on SmackDown on April 28, 2023, with several major moves taking place. Here are the biggest highlights from the show:
- The Usos defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. The match was a rematch of their WrestleMania 38 encounter, and it was just as good, if not better. The Usos were able to retain their titles thanks to some help from Roman Reigns, who attacked Owens and Zayn after the match.
- Bianca Belair was drafted to SmackDown. The Raw Women’s Champion was the first pick of the draft, and she will be looking to add the SmackDown Women’s Championship to her collection.
- Cody Rhodes was drafted to Raw. The former AEW star was the second pick of the draft, and he will be looking to make an impact on Raw right away.
- The Mysterios were drafted to SmackDown. Rey and Dominik Mysterio will be reunited on SmackDown, and they will be looking to challenge for the tag team titles.
- Rhea Ripley was drafted to Raw. The Raw Women’s Champion was drafted to Raw, and she will be looking to defend her title against the likes of Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair.
